Mennica Legacy Tower is and office complex, built in Warsaw's Wola district at the intersection of Prosta and Żelazna Streets. 
The building were designed by architects of Chicago’s Goettsch Partners studio in collaboration with their Polish partner – Warsaw’s Epstein design office. Warbud was the general contractor of the investment, and Golub GetHouse and Mennica Polska were the investors  

PROJECT 
Inside of the complex the two building were built – the eastern one with 33 floors and a height of 140 meters, and the lower 10-story western building. The lower of the office buildings was commissioned in November 2019, while the higher one in November 2020. The complex offers 65,630 square meters of office space and 4,500 square meters of retail and service space. On the roofs of both of the skyscrapers the green terraces were designed. The largest lease agreement in the history of the Polish real estate market was signed at Mennica Legacy Tower - mBank has leased almost the entire usable space of the taller skyscraper and will occupy over 45,000 Square meters of space. The lower building was entirely leased by WeWork.

DEVELOPMENT
At the peak of the construction works the construction of one storey took only six days. This dizzying pace of the construction was achieved, inter alia, thanks to the usage of specially designed facade systems. During the construction of the Mennica Legacy Tower, a mullion-transom element wall system intended for the construction of lightweight curtain walls of a suspended type was used. The wall structure consisted of modules entirely manufactured in the manufacturing plant. The height of the modules corresponded exactly with the height of the storeys to which they were to be installed and their width was determined in accordance with the architectural design. Thanks to the appropriate differentiation of the shapes of aluminum profiles and the glazing technology of the façade segments, it was possible to obtain various visual effects on individual facades of the building. Finally, a panel windows were installed in the system to allow fresh air to flow into the building's rooms. 
For the needs of the façade construction on the lowest floors of both buildings, the Mennica Legacy Tower complex uses a system whose load-bearing structure consists of aluminum sections and transoms as well as composite profiles, closing the housing at the top and bottom. The glazed  façade system was designed by Aluprof from Bielsko-Biała in cooperation with Eljako-Al.    

EQUIPMENT
Mennica Lagacy Tower office buildings were equipped with lots of the modern systems incl. access control integrated with the elevator management system, lighting and air conditioning control from a mobile phone and concierge service. The employees can use the four-storey underground car park with 620 parking spaces for cars and 300 for bicycles. The parking also includes electric car charging stations.

SURROUNDINGS
During the  Mennica Legacy Tower construction Waliców Street was reconstructed on the section between Prosta and Pereca Streets. Between the two buildings a city passage connecting Prosta and Grzybowska streets as well as a square with elements of small architecture and greenery were developed.
